I Just want to start out by saying that Lore is the Combination of two of my favorite series, those series being The Hunger games and Percy Jackson. Every Seven years there is a game called the Agon. The Agon is Punishment for the Greek Gods, Aphrodite, Ares, Dionysus, Hephaestus, Poseidon, Artemis, Athena, Hermes, and Apollo. During the Agon, the Greek Gods are forced the walk the earth as mortals. When Lore was Little her parents were killed during the Agon and she was forced to go into hiding from the people who killed them. Now, the Agon in New York brought Athena to Lore's Doorstep. The First things I really liked about Lore was the Mythology aspect of it. Percy Jackson made me fall in love with reading the first time and Lore reminded me of Percy Jackson Quite a bit. The Second thing I loved about lore was how it is a kind of game for different families to hunt the Gods and this reminded me a lot of the Hunger Games which made me fall in love with reading the second time. I think it was very interesting how when a God dies their power transfer to the person who killed them or the person who is the closest. Normally I find a couple in a book that I really love but I never really found one in this book. I did love Lore and Castor as a couple but not as much as I like other couples in other books that I've read. I will say that I love Elliot. I thought he was so funny and he reminded me a lot of Simon Lewis in "The Mortal Instruments". I also love Athena. Athena has always been my Favorite Greek Goddess and She was a lot funnier in Lore then she was in Percy Jackson which I loved. I also loved her actions towards the end of the book. I Rate this book 4 out of 5 stars and I Hope Alexandra Bracken continues to Explore writing books with Mythology.
