My Lady Jane is based upon the time in history when Lady Jane Grey was queen for nine days. After Nine days they chopped her head off. In this version, Edward, the king of England is dying. He must choose his successor, but him being a sick 16 year-old boy makes it difficult to decide who gets to inherit his crown. Jane, his cousin, whos family is next in line for the crown is forced to get married and become Queen. Edward forces Jane to marry Gifford Dudley a dukes son. Gifford or G isn't what he seems. He is a man at night and a horse during the day, he is what they call Edian. Edward, Jane and G get caught up in a nefarious Plot for the Crown. I really love this book series. The Authors do a good job at making history interesting. I didn't necessarily read the books in order because it doesn't really make a difference in which order you read them. G is so funny. G is definitely not a nickname someone would have in period in history and That's what makes him so funny. G also turns into a horse during the day which, lead to some interesting moments between him and jane. Jane is a total bookworm, like me. Since she is always reading she actually makes a list of rule between her and Gifford regarding her books. I give this book a rating of 5/5.
