Ninth House is the First Book in a Book series by Leigh Bardugo. I really enjoyed the book. It reminded me a lot of "The Magicians" Which is a book series and a Tv show. I was a big fan of the Tv show when it was on. I loved the setting of Yale University. I haven't really read a lot of books with a setting like that. This is also one of the darkest books I have ever read. I Loved how it was both a Fantasy and a Mystery novel. I also loved the character and the flashbacks. My Favorite Character is Darlington. I hope we see more of him in the second book which the title is yet to be determined. I loved that lethe wasn't just a secret society but also kind of kept the other secret societies in check. I also loved that the Roles of Dante, Virgil, Oculus and Centurion get passed down from person to person. Above all I loved the relationship between Darlington and Alex. At first I thought they were just going to be friends but then at a particular party scene I realized that Darlington had feeling for Alex and a couple of pages before that Alex seemed like she had feelings for him too. I also love Alex as a Character. She definitely contribute to a lot of the darkness of the story and there were a lot of really shocking moments from her past. I really enjoyed this book a I hope Leigh Bardugo continues this series soon. I Rate this book five out of five stars. Follow me on Instagram @extremelybookish123.
