Ruin and Rising is the Final book in the Shadow and Bone Trilogy. I was kind of sad that I didn't like this book because I have seen so many positive reviews about this book. I think Trilogy went slowly downhill for me. Shadow and Bone, the first book was great. It was the perfect introduction to this world and to the characters. The Second book, Siege and Storm was kind of anticlimactic for me. It started out great. I liked seeing Alina and Mal on the Run from the Darkling and the other Grisha. I liked the introduction of Nikolai. I liked the twist of finding out that Nikolai is the prince, but it kind of went downhill after that. In My opinion, Ruin and Rising just wasn't that great. I feel like they spent to much time with The Apparat. I love fantasy books but this one was not for me. I like a lot of action in the fantasy books I read. Some of the Major death of this book didn't really make me feel anything for the other characters. for instance, Mal, when he died I didn't feel much in comparison to other book I've read. Mal was just that guy that i think was supposed to be the love interest for Alina, but it didn't really work for me. Alina just wasn't that interesting in this book. I think my favorite characters in this book is Toyla and Tamar. They provided a lot of Comedy they made me enjoy the book a little bit more. I would give this book a 2 out of 5 stars .I will be reviewing Six of Crows next week, Which is Heard is a lot better then the Shadow and Bone trilogy, So fingers crossed.
