The Birthstone Book tag

ellaray625

I have been Trying to come up with new content so i'm not doing the same old thing every week. I decided i wanted to do some book tags between book reviews. I found this tag on The Bibliophile Empress's blog called the Birthstone tage. I f

1. January (Garnet): Associated with warding off negative forces and dark energies- Name a book with the darkest/evilest character you can think of.

This one is kind of hard. The one the first comes to mind is the Darkling from the 'Shadow and Bone' trilogy. But, when i get to thinking about it i also kind of like Sebastian Morgenstern from 'the mortal instruments' for this question. Knowing me i will probably use the Mortal Instruments for another question. So, I am going to say the Darkling from Shadow and Bone.

2. February (Amethyst): Purple is associated with royalty- Name a Book with regal qualities... You can base this off of character, or choose the King of all books.

I think for this one i am going to go with Prince or Emperor Kai from 'The Lunar Chronicles'. To be specific 'Cinder'. I feel like Queen Levana could also work for this one but, i am going to go with Kai for this one.

3. March (Aquamarine): Washed out- Name a 'Wishy-washy' character, a character who is not strong or a follower.

When i think of 'Wishy-Washy' i think of a character who plays both sides. I think of Lucien from 'A Court of Thorns and Roses'. Lucien during the events of 'A Court of Mist and Fury' Played both sides. Claiming that he Cared about Feyre, but not stopping Tamlin when he Locked Feyre inside their house. Later, he sided with Tamlin when Feyre's sisters were Kidnapped and turned into Fey.

4. April (Diamond): A diamond in the rough- Name a book that you loved but it is not well known.

A book i really loved that is not well known or at least i haven't seen it on Instagram or Tic Tok is 'The Darkest Minds'. I really loved this book because in this book unlike most YA novels you have no hope whatsoever that the main couple would ever be together in the end. You also didn't really know what was going to happen.

5. May (Emerald): Said to Balance Energy- Name two character who balance each other well.

Two Character who i think Balance each other well are Alec and Jace from 'The Mortal Instruments'. I knew i was going to use 'The Mortal Instruments' at some point in this tag. I think Jem and Will from 'The Infernal Devices' would also work well for this one.

6. June (Pearl): Associated with Loyalty- Name a Character who is Loyal to the end.

There are so many choices for this one. I want to say Simon Lewis, but i also think that Christina Rosales from 'The Dark Artifices' would be a really good one. Christina is such a Loyal and Faithful friends to Emma through the events of 'Lady Midnight' and even more so in 'Queen of Air and Darkness'.

7. July (Ruby): Blood Red- Name a book that made your blood boil, a book that made you angry.

A book that made me really angry is Allegiant by: Veronica Roth. That ending crushed me. and I was really mad about it.

8. August (Peridot):Pale Green (it pales in comparison to other gems) - Name a Supporting character that you like better than the main character.

In 'Shadow and Bone', I really like Nikolai better than i like Mal or Alina. I feel like his character is so much more interesting. Especially, in 'King of Scars'.

9. September (Sapphire): Blue like the ocean which is calming- Name a book that has a Calming effect on you.

My Go to book when i'm having a bad day is 'Everything, Everything' by: Nicola Yoon.

10. October (Opal): Iridescent- Name a Iridescent book, this can be a book with a beautiful cover (Shiny? Lots of Color?) or you can base it off of a character (Quirky? Colorful?)

I really love the Cover of 'Chain of Gold' I love the colors and how Cordelia's hair stand out.

11. November (Topaz): Associated with resilience- Name a book with a character who rises to the top in a time of adversity.

For this one I want to say Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger games, but I feel like everyone says that. So, I think Laia from An Ember in the Ashes series is a good one.

12. December (Blue Zircon): Associated with Friendship- Name a book with a friendship you want to be apart of.

I really want to be apart of the crows friendship. Even though I'm Sure Kaz wouldn't call it a friendship.
