I have recently go into reading books about the Faerie world. I First found out about different courts of faerie when I read "City of Ashes" By: Cassandra Clare. If you know anything about me it's that I love the shadowhunter books. As far as Understood then is that their were faeries called Seelies and that they had a Queen but once I got to "The Dark Artifices" I found out that their was a Unseelie King too. It took me a While to come around to reading about the Fae through different book series, but eventually i started reading "A Court of Thorns and Roses" and really enjoyed it despite hearing many negative reviews about it. Once I finished the first two books of that series, i decided to pick up the e-book of the Cruel Prince and Once i started it i could not stop reading it. I spent the whole day reading it.
I really enjoyed The Cruel Prince i loved getting to see the faerie world more. I will admit it was a little slow at first and it took me a while to warm up to the main Protagonist, Jude. But, in the end i really loved it. I loved that there wasn't really a clear love interest towards the end of the book. Which leads me to Jude and Cardan. Their relationship is the definition of it's complicated. First, he hates her. Then, he tries to protect her from Locke breaking her heart. In the end, he admits he loves her but hates himself for it. I can only imagine how more complicates it will get as the Series goes on. Toward the end of the book i really hated Taryn, Judes twin sister.
I just can't believe that she didn't tell Jude what Locke was doing or that she was engaged to him. I mean, yeah, I know she said that Locke made her promise to not tell anyone, but you mean to tell me that she knew that Locke was making out with her sister and didn't care. I really enjoyed this book and i rate it 4 out of 5 stars. Follow me on Instagram @extremelybookish123. Comment Below Book Recommendations.
