The Elite is the second book in The Selection series. In this book, America is trying to do everything on her power to win Maxon back. Throughout the entirety of the first book America struggled to get over her and ex and move on. At first she didn’t care about Maxon and then as they got closer she started to fall in love with him though she didn’t want to admit it.
I really loved this book more than the first. I think the author spent so much time in the first book explaining instead of showing and I liked being able to see how America would treat the selection if she was actually trying to win. I also really liked that the selection was only down to 6 girls. It made it a lot easier to keep track of all the girls names. I also liked seeing more of the Queen. I feel like in the first book we didn’t really get a lot of scenes of her with the girl in the selection and talking about her experiences in the selection. I would rate this book 4 out 5 stars. follow me on insta @extremelybookish123. subscribe and comment for Book reviews and more.
