The Heir is the fourth book in the selection series. The Heir takes place when Maxon and America’s kids are adults and there is a lot of unrest about the caste system. At this point the caste system has been gone for a long time and people still don’t know what to do without it. So, it in order to distract the people, Maxon and America decide to hold a Selection for their daughter Princess Eadlyn. Princess Eadlyn in going to be Queen one day and feels as though she doesn’t need a husband.
Eadlyn is kind of a Brat. Whenever she gets into an argument she always plays the ‘I’m gonna be Queen one day’ card. It’s kind of annoying. She refuses to share anything about herself with any of the candidates in the selection. People start to call her out on her being a brat and she gets upset. I’m I guess of course your going to be upset if you get called a brat, but really she shouldn’t be so surprised.
Things starts to spin out of control and slowly the People and the candidates of the selection start to think that she is faking any feeling towards any of the boys. I hated the main characters herself ,but really liked seeing some of the old characters from the first three books.
Overall this was an okay book so, I gave it a 🌟🌟🌟/5 stars. Follow me on insta @extremelybookish123 or click on the insta icon at the top of the homepag. Happy Reading!!!!
