The Wicked King is the Second book in the Folk of the Air series by Holly Black. The Main Character are Jude and Cardan. In the Previous book, Cardan was crowned king by Jude's little brother, Oak. Now, Cardan is angry with Jude because he didn't want to be king. Jude is one of Cardan's "Advisors" but actually she is pretty much running all of Elfhame.
Okay, I actually liked this book a lot more than i did the cruel prince. I feel like so much happened in this book. First, we kind of see how Cardan is running the kingdom and then we see various attempts by him and Jude to make peace with Queen Orlagh. I don't have much to say on this book because it was really good. I was really shocked when Cardan Completely betrayed Jude and Exiled her in order to make peace with Queen Orlagh. It was kind of a bad timing to because Cardan and Jude had just gotten married and Jude had become the Queen of Elfhame.
I would Rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars. I really liked the story. I especially liked Cardan and Jude's wedding and relationship. Follow me on insta @extremelybookish123 and comment below book recommendations.
